Old Town, Second Avenue
The brick and false-front commercial block from the railroad period, walkable end to end in about ten minutes, and still where the community gathers.
The two blocks of Second Avenue are the reason Niwot feels like a town rather than a subdivision. The brick and false-front buildings went up to serve the farms and the trains in the late 1800s and were kept rather than replaced; the Niwot Tribune building is the survivor that anchors the block. Sidewalks are continuous and the cross streets short. Park once, anywhere along the avenue, and walk.
