The playground on First Avenue, built by the Cultural Arts Association ten years ago, across from Whistle Stop Park.
The playground across First Avenue from Whistle Stop Park, built and kept up by the Niwot Cultural Arts Association, which marks its tenth birthday in October 2026. The flower cart on the Murray Street corner is a summer bonus.
The play area has a large woolly mammoth and fossil features drawn from Colorado’s past, natural landscaping and several play structures. It opened in October 2016 after a community fundraising drive, and the association keeps it up with donations and proceeds from Rock & Rails.
