Whistle Stop Park
The lawn beside the 1907 caboose at the edge of Old Town, where the Rock & Rails concerts happen every summer Thursday.
The park the Niwot Cultural Arts Association built at the south-west corner of Murray Street and First Avenue, beside the rail corridor that gave the town its angled grid. CB&Q 14649, a Burlington Route caboose built in 1907, sits on a short length of track; the lawn is the stage for the free Thursday-evening Rock & Rails concerts from June to August and the start line for the Niwot Trot. The Children’s Park is across the street.
